The Credentialing Specialist is a full-time, (temporary role that may be subject to become permanent) salaried position. This position supports our healthcare recruiters by ensuring that the clinicians who work for our clients are properly trained, licensed, and certified to work.

 

Position Summary / Objective

The Onboarding Specialist role is responsible for ensuring that clinical candidates are properly licensed and certified to work and have completed all of their onboarding requirements to start their assignments. This includes closely reviewing documents for accuracy, expiration dates, completion of requirements, ordering background checks and drug screens, and interpreting their results. Ideal candidates will have thorough attention to detail, high level of accuracy in their work, and ablity to handle a high volume of tasks.

Responsibilities

  • Process initial hire and applications for clinicians in a medical staffing environment
  • Assist with the new-hire process by reviewing information contained in job applications and resumes
  • Ensure that medical professionals placed on assignment are compliant with Elite Medical Staffing and client requirements prior to start and throughout the term of the assignment
  • Maintain contact and follow-up with healthcare professionals throughout the credentialing process
  • Verify all necessary licenses and credentials for the client facility to include conducting background checks, drug screens, contacting licensing boards, reviewing license applications, obtaining education information, and interviewing references
  • Review medical documentation, certifications, employment forms, testing and other requirements upon receipt, ensuring compliance with client and company standards
  • Input and maintain documentation in company database to include tracking licensing, compliance with federal standards, completion of necessary training and education, and continuing education completion
  • Other assigned tasks and duties

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

This is a full-time, salary position, and hours of work and days are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5 p.m.

 

Specific Educational/Vocational Requirements

• 1 year of prior Customer Service or Human Resource experience is preferred

• Bachelors degree preferred
